QUALITY ANALYST

 
Position Purpose
 
The Quality Analyst (QA), Business Operations works under the direction of the Supervisor, Quality Assurance. The QA is responsible for the Quality assurance and testing of projects, the management of the testing effort and the coordination of new and ongoing projects.
The QA assists on a major application development project, as well as supports existing client programs and department activities.  The QA reports directly to the Supervisor, Quality Assurance with a dotted line reporting to the Senior Lead, Quality Assurance/Business Analyst for the projects they are working on.
 
Position Scope and Challenges
 
The Quality Analyst is challenged to perform efficient and effective quality assurance through comprehensive documentation as well as reliable and reusable testing methodologies. He/She faces the challenge of ensuring that the business requirements as documented by the Business Analyst are adhered to, are thoroughly tested and meet the company’s  quality standards.
The QA may also be called upon to assist in the development of operational documents. The QA is responsible for ensuring that the established policies and procedures are followed in order to meet organizational and business requirements.
 
Essential Position Functions
 
 
  • Ensure Quality Assurance on client deliverables through comprehensive documentation, demonstrating a solid understanding of the business requirements and using a consistent testing methodology.
  • Author test scripts documents based on the defined project business rules and requirements in consultation with the Business Analyst.
  • Authors test plans for new and ongoing client projects based on the requirements document and ensure that the plan is adhered to and is on target with client requirements.
  • Formalizes project testing strategies to guide a project from acceptance to production, preparing regular project status reports to the lead Business Analyst.
  • Work closely with IT, Client Services and other key Client delivery teams to manage user acceptance testing, monitor defects and document testing results.
  • Provide client support for programs as required for new and ongoing project initiatives.
  • Assist in the authoring of or authors (as required) operational documentation such as procedures manuals, report prototypes, process/ design flows and program change documentation.
  • Assist the Business Analyst in prioritizing new development projects and enhancement projects for existing systems and client maintenance requests.
  • Assist the Business Analyst in estimating testing time and coverage for projects.
  • Update defect resolution logs throughout the testing effort, and maintain project information as needed, including project binders, change documentation, functional specifications documents.
  • Secondary contact for Client Services and client for any IT and/ or program related issues.
  • Develop and maintains effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated and interfaced groups including I.T., Client team, Creative etc.
  • Takes initiatives and contributes to the department and/or projects by proactively coming up with ideas to improve processes.
  • May be called upon to assist in gathering and analyzing requirements for new and ongoing client initiatives.
  • Assist on any other department function and/or project requirement as deemed necessary to the business i.e. training for client system roll out
 
Policies and Procedures
 
  • Provide regular updates to the Supervisor or Manager Business Operations and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding preservation and proper use of company assets and future business expansion.
 Training
 
  • Assist in the development of training manuals and curriculums where required. 
Hours
 
The company’s  business hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however as a service industry, we occasionally have to work outside of normal business hours in order to service the client. The Quality Analyst may be required to work some evenings and/or weekends. 
 
Authority
 
  • Coordinate and manager User acceptance plans.
  • Maintains and monitors internal program procedures and provides immediate notification to senior management of any potential issue.
  • Schedules and prioritizes own work to accommodate client requirements needs while minimizing impact on current projects.
  • Contributes to projects/department regarding establishing guidelines and setting procedures. 
Contacts
 
Routine contact is required with all business departments, with clients and external vendors to ensure business requirements are satisfied.
 
Position Requirements
 
  • BS or BA degree in business or computer science or related field preferred or 3 years business experience
  • 1-2 years experience in Quality Assurance and familiarity with testing methodologies
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office, Visio
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing when dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying technical abilities.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Bilingual (English/ French) is a strong asset; French fluency is preferred

Maintenance Supervisor

General:  Responsible for repair and maintenance of processing packaging equipment to ensure ongoing, cost effective operations, in a multi shift environment.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

§  Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition.

§  Supervise mechanics and electricians including; assigning work, performance management, training, motivating, and continue to develop the relationship between the operators and Maintenance crew

§  Monitor and track department performance and take action when needed

§  Analyze inefficiencies, recommend, plan and implement equipment needs to achieve cost reduction, and improve product quality and processes.

§  Oversee maintenance of material, supplies and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodically review inventory for proper upkeep at plant facilities.

§  Oversee work order program to ensure work orders approved are completed in a timely

§  Maintain company property to regulatory standards, (state, local, safety, and GMPs).

§  Ensure GMP and safety policies are followed by direct reports and contractors.

 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 

·         Minimum grade 12, or equivalent, and previous manufacturing experience

·         Possess a Millwright and/or Electrician license

·         5 – 10 years experience in repair and overhaul, troubleshooting of processing , packaging and material handling equipment

·         Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment in a similar supervisory role

·         Strong knowledge and experience  in developing an EAM program

·         Experience with welding and machining.

·         Knowledge or manufacturing and assembly techniques

·         Good mechanical aptitude with trouble shooting and analytical abilities

·         Able to prioritize and handle multiple issues

·         Detail oriented and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work well under pressure

·         Must have a demonstrated history of safe work habits

·         Willing to work cooperatively in a team environment

·         Able to read and interpret Blue prints, CAD drawing

·         Knowledge or experience in hot work and confined space permits

Oracle DBA – US Citizen – Dubai

General Position Summary:

Provide Oracle support for a Homeland Security Company.

 

Major Responsibilities & Tasks:

Support Business Development and other Pre-Sales activities, as needed.  Perform installation of Oracle on Windows.  Perform Data Base Performance Optimization and backup/recovery.

Job Specifications:

Knowledge:

  • OCA, OCE (preferred) and a college degree. BS required, MS desired
  • Fully understand ORACLE Architecture and database structures.
  • IEEE 829, ISO 9001 desired

Experience:

  • Experience with DHS or DOD projects, highly desirable
  • Experience with Integrated Product Teams, desired
