Responsibilities
Provide oversight in integrating high-level architectural designs into the operational framework of the designated operational area(s). 
Convert logical architectural designs into physical operational designs. 
Coordinate the integration of infrastructure components, new technologies and/or operational solutions that affect all areas (network, data services, security services, operating systems, web services, supportability, maintainability, and fail-over capability).
Maintain service integrity and continuity throughout life cycle of solution, troubleshooting problems across functional boundaries, and creating standards/processes that reflect operational standards of excellence. 
Assess application architecture and design for selecting the right type of infrastructure including hardware, OS, Middleware and systems monitoring
Assess capacity/performance requirements for the applications and propose a scalable and highly available design

Job Requirements
Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
Five to ten years experience working with user requirements or designing and validating technical solutions.
Expert work experience with one or more of the following areas:  Operating Systems, Network Services, Web Services/SOA, Security Services, Data Services, Java/.Net platforms, SAN/NAS storage platforms.

Skills
Areas of expertise includes
Unix/Linux(Redhat) and/or Windows 2003 engineering knowledge
Middleware engineering knowledge with one or more of the following: Weblogic, Oracle Application Server, Tomcat, Webmethods or other J2EE containers and .Net environments
Strong SOA, Webservices, BPEL/BPM knowledge
Systems development experience with various Internet technologies and network programming is a strong plus
Strong skills in the instrumentation and integration of monitoring, security solutions for applications and infrastructure components
Hands on experience with debugging infrastructure integration and application performance issues.
Broad technology infrastructure knowledge which includes datacenter, hardware, OS, middleware, storage, network and database platforms

Senior Benefits Consultant – Montreal
The Senior Benefits Consultant will be instrumental in growing Consulting business in the Quebec market while leading the team and delivering on client projects. This role will be located in Montreal and will involve leading and growing a small team of consultants locally, with the support and resources of  broader Canadian Consulting operations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead consultant for Benefit / health strategy, plan design, pricing strategy, vendor selection and ongoing plan management
Provide client leadership on targeted clients/prospects
Exhibit leadership in business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions.
Leads/facilitate complex client meetings to measurable results
Work closely with our Sales & Accounts team and other national resources to develop new business in Montreal
Provide technical and consulting coaching to other team members
Act as strategic resource for Benefit consultants
Exhibit thought leadership
Participate in industry trade groups and event and present to different business groups

Summary of Position: Supervise and support the Technical Sales Representatives within his/her identified territory. Work with the management team to establish and implement sales strategies throughout the territory.

Reports to: National Sales Director

Specific Duties
and Responsibilities:
1. Direct, coordinate, and review activities of Technical Sales Representatives and Inside Sales Manager
2. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
3. Train TSRs on sales strategies, company policy and procedures.
4. Produce monthly sales reports based on TSR reports and market information
5. Recommends and sells valves and controls utilizing knowledge of valve and actuation applications.
6. Computes installation or production costs, estimates savings, and participates in preparation and submission of bid specifications to customer for review and approval.
7. Attends sales and trade meetings and reads related publications to obtain current market condition information, business trends, and industry developments.
8. Inspects establishment premises to verify installation feasibility, and obtains specifications and drawings to submit to engineering department for bid.
9. Demonstrates and explains use of installed equipment and production processes.
10. Arranges for installation and test-operation of machinery and recommends solutions to product-related problems.
11. Contacts current and potential customers, visits establishments to evaluate needs, and promotes sale of products and services
12. Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
13. Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
14. Participate in preparation of Quotes per specifications.

Education and Experience:

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Business or a Technical discipline

5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area 

 2-4 years of supervisory experience.

*Knowledge of valves, actuators, and controls strongly preferred.

Additional Skills Required:

Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.  Requires excellent computer skills, ability to work with detail, good organizational skills, solid math skills, superb time management skills, and excellent problem solving ability.

Salary: Negotiable, with benefits package, plus annual bonus pay plan.

Work Conditions: Flexible workweek, hours may vary.  Extended hours may be required based on business needs.  Travel to other facilities and training would equate to no more than 50% of a workweek. General work will be primarily conducted in a climate-controlled office setting with a minimal flow of people.
